I like the idea of making Silent Sunday an all day thing. I also still like the idea of having a second event, but I'm not sure if it would be considered too much. :D Maybe see how SS is as a forum event and go from there.
I do like your suggestions for it, sttarr! A fun event with rotating themes would keep it fresh and fun! I'd be down for that.

About the chirpy event it was a joke! if a chirpy event will take place i will maybe have to skip that day of journeying, haha! i mean i don't mind having it, but still :D Good suggestions, sttarr! maybe a tiny scarf event can be good (but maybe we don't really need a second event?..) my vote for SS time is the whole 24h day, without set-up meetup time. I like the idea of a tiny scarf event. Makes reliance on companions all the more important.

I hope we will find time for a few events with a defined start time to increase our chances of getting a Forum mystery companion.
Do you think an untimed 24h SS event might risk being a bit disrespectful to companions who might wonder why we won't talk to them?

With the right companion a no-scarf, silent Journey is a great discipline. I remember enjoying a wonderful one with ILTW (as I found out afterwards).

Imo the main point of events is to meet other Journey enthusiasts (sounds better than addicts 😄) and the idea of having a set start time increases the chances of this, as raisin has written above. But the issue of the right time is the problem and that is why previously there were several weekly events at different times. If, living in Europe one couldn’t stay up half the night for the event that started at 10.30 pm, there was always another event starting earlier on another day. These days, there are not so many people playing so I agree, those halcyon days are over, but perhaps a weekly timed event, but at a different time every other week would work. One week starting at say 18.00 UTC and the following week at 22.00 UTC for example. I was never able to play more than a couple of times a week and so the events were an enormous thrill for me. I would try not to set my expectations too high, but how wonderful it was to meet a Journey friend. This does seem a lot more difficult these days.

Troggy сonvinced me, i too vote events having a strict schedule now :D we need to decide on time before tomorrow, lol! i suggest 17:00 EDT and 04:00 EDT, maybe? (to convert time easily you can just copypaste "04:00 EDT" into the google and it will tell you what time it is in your timezone)

Doesn't seem very US-friendly, or work for most of us West Europeans. Maybe 22.00 EDT for the Americas?

17.00EDT is a perfect time. 22.00EDT might be kind of late though.
May I offer a suggestion of 10.00EDT? Gives you guys across the pond a better start time. And then maybe 17.00EDT or 18.00EDT. If we're doing two different start times, that is. Otherwise, maybe we can find a time somewhere in the middle?

I never joined an event, yet. But i always liked the idea of it and was happy to read about your experiences in the old forum.
I vote for: 1-2 per month and set starting times (to make it easier, it doesnt say, if you are 10 minutes too late you will not get any companion :D). If its 10pm start time, people might start playing within that next hour then?! 2 starting times in 24 hours should cover most people timeframe? Making it a smooth start time "about that time we will start".
Also pro the idea of different themes, rotating. And because its for fun, why not have a very chirpy event etc. We could also set ourselves challenges, for me a silent sunday would be such a bane and i would fail all time i guess :D I also like the idea of a glitch-event. What about a first run event? ^^ We could also announce that in reddit for example. I just desperatly want that community to grow :D
