So between the save editor not being compiled, the save offsets being different than on PS3, and my suspicion that a lot of people won't know how to/want to figure this stuff out themselves, I figured I'd make a quick tutorial for those who just want to try out Level 09. XD
BEFORE YOU PLAY
1. If you get too close to the small tower in the north-west area, the game will crash - probably due to a script that no longer exists. Take care if you want to avoid crashing.
2. Level 09's loading scripts don't seem to check to see if you're a White Cloak - or in layman's terms, you will be a Red Cloak, no matter what.
3. Yes, you can meet a companion there, but you probably shouldn't expect to meet one at random. XD
4. I've only tried this on version 1.52 - I took a quick look at some of my old save files on other versions, and I believe it'll work on most, if not all of them. Still, I figured I'd give a heads up that it might not work in all versions, just in case. (Though I suspect that the worst that'll happen is that the game will crash and you might have to start your game over - nothing super-serious.)
With those out of the way, here are your directions. ^_^
OPTION 1 (the super-easy way):
Download the following save file.
SAVE-Lv09_GotAwaySymbol.BIN (32 KB)
Rename it "SAVE.DAT" and move it to your "[Username]\Documents\Journey" folder. This save file also has the White Cloak unlocked and all the murals found. The scarf length should be appropriate for being around Pink Desert/Level 09, and as a bonus, I gave it the famous symbol that "got away." =3
OPTION 2 (for those who'd rather do it themselves):
You'll need an existing save file (I'd suggest one set in the Pink Desert) and a hex editor such as HxD.
OPTIONAL - Make a backup of your save. HxD does this, anyway, but it never hurts to be on the safe side of these things.
Open your save file in the editor and find the pair of characters at row 00000010, column 08.
^ That one. The highlighted one.
Change the pair to 09.
Save the file. You should be ready to go. ^_^
