How did you get your username?

Lol duuuuudefish, that‘s sweet that everyone tries to spell your name correctly

Well, I don‘t know how to explain that properly, but somehow people identify me with a duck or duck-like animal sometimes, irl. Ok that makes no sense 😅

I can look like a duck. Is that better? No...

So there is a very weird connection between me and ducks that a lot of people think is suiting, please don’t ask me why or how. I adopted it cause I think it’s fun.
Now I did not choose a duck for my username because we all want to be a tad cooler than we are, right - what‘s cooler than a duck? A freaking Platypus. They have a duck-like beak and otter-like fur and lay eggs and give milk and are strange, like somebody invented them (people actually thought they were a hoax at first). But they aren’t. They are just weird little creatures, swimming round and doing their thing. I liked that. If a duck ever dreamed of something slightly cooler than herself, it would be a Platypus.
Since there are 1000 Platypus nicks on the net already, I wanted to add maximus because it rhymes and I thought it would be funny to give such a small creature such a big name, like a roman emperor. Turned out there are lots of platypusmaximus too 😆
After that I just thought let‘s go all the way and make it a socialist platypus. Who could fight better for social justice than an animal that combines the features of so many different species?

haha platy. thank you for clarifing. i was wondering for some time now, how someone can come up with that name :D
mine is literally "nothing". i guess i am not the only one, when in need of another nickname or password you just drop both hands on the keyboard to see what you get? after some tries i had lirewu and liked it a lot. stuck with it every since (aprox over 15 years now).
another that i created like that was Rsi Aum :D which i really like too, but dont use often.

Some time ago i was really into studying religion, and liked the name Avalokiteshvara because it was sooo much fun to pronounce, lol. When on some site i had to create a name, Avalokiteshvara appeared in my head and seemed like a nice idea. However on most sites this name is already taken, and when i first ran into this problem, i mirrored the name to get Aravshetikolava, and it stayed with me. But this is why i am ava rather than ara, haha

zestful_omyt appeared because i really wanted to have a lowercase ID. I just googled "words starting with z" and zestful seemed like a fun one. 
omyt is for russian омут - a folk name for a deepest part of a pond or a river bed. Омут has a mystical fleur to it, because its impossible to know what is happening in the deep dark waters. Some russian tales and sayings are about omyts. It's pronounced like "omoot" and now i regret not writing it like this :D 

My choice is plain and simple. When I began my gaming carrier , I did not know ANYTHING! I was shocked that I was expected to have a username. All I could think of was the reason for my being in this strange place of gaming at that time in my life was twofold: my son is an indie dev and his studio (along with his friend) is stoicstudio; just stating the facts with 'mom'  . Have not had any imagination to create anything else as an alt(s). 

I love my cats and they love plastic. Changed the C to K, so it refers to my first name. That‘s it. 😏

Dad was watching me play, my Journeyer was sitting down and he said “It looks like a Jawa from Star Wars.” 😆
