Hello, I hope you are enjoying Journey on PC I have been doing my best to locate all of the cheats I found on PS4. I can not find many of them, but wanted to post what I would consider the "essentials". There are also some new things I found.
I think that these types of mods should be welcomed and enjoyed, but they can be used to do some negative things. On accident, on purpose... who knows? A random companion won’t know the difference. It’s up to you. The right companion for this kind of stuff is an arranged meeting, but in this game having your own fun is what is most important! Anyone can dust when they want to for any reason.
www.cheatengine.org/
You need to be careful when you use this program. It's OK using it with Journey, but you really need to make sure you close it before playing other games. Games with anti-cheat will see it running even if it's not attached to the game's process.
There's a huge amount of helpful videos on YouTube about how to use Cheat Engine. I might be able to help a little with Journey specific questions if you decide to get into scanning and want to find your own things.
Here is what I have found so far
Journey.CT (1.38)
Memory editing on PC is much more difficult than PS4. Almost all of the things I have found are dynamic addresses, meaning they change location every time you start the game.
Any addresses I have found in the Journey.exe range were static addresses, and they worked on 2 different computers. I had to find them again for a new patch, but the range is relatively small so easy to find the stuff there again. I couldn't find much here, but may be searching for the wrong value or type.
From the start of memory up until Journey.exe is where I found most things, and they are all dynamic addresses.
If you find anything worthwhile, you need to find a reliable pointer. Every time you do a pointer scan, you can save the results. Keep all of your pointer scan files safe.
You need to rescan the results of the pointer scan for the default value of a thing you found in every level, like time = 1. A lot of pointers I found were only there when a specific level was loaded. Narrow down the list until you find some that work no matter where you are. A lot of pointers get lost if you progress through Tower's goo levels in order. When you get to the 2nd from the top goo glyph, rescan the results. You also need to rescan the results in the paradise cutscene. If you find addresses that work in both of those places there's a good chance they'll work everywhere. I narrow down the results a lot in those two places, and then restart my game and rescan again. I included some extra pointers in my list. Hopefully there will be a replacement in the bonus pointers if the main ones I chose aren't working on your PC.
Pointer scans are extremely useful if the game is patched as well. Almost everything has changed places with the first two patches. Pointer scans saved me from finding addresses from scratch all over again after the second patch. There was a very small number of working pointers in the previous patch's scan results after the update. You need to find a working pointer and the address it's currently pointing before you close your game again and lose the spot. Pointer scan that address and save over your current file for this new patch. That way if you lose anything you will have a backup list.
If you find a particular cheat of a certain type, like something with chirping or something with walking or something with fog or the sky or carpets, you can maybe find other addresses that are similar near that location by using "Dissect data/structures". Right click the desired address in your list > find out what accesses this address > choose one of the opcodes you think is relevant > look at the red address. This one is [rdx+20], so 07611E60 + 0x20
Click "Memory View" > Tools in Memory Viewer > Dissect data/structures and enter that address
You can mess with these values close by and could find something cool.
And if you do find anything, you will need to do the pointer scan process again for that new find ^^
I have tested these addresses on two different PCs, so I hope that they work for you too. Everything except "movespeed" is consistently working on the helper PC. If you ever find an important cheat from my list is pointing to the wrong place, try restarting the game and it should hopefully line up again.
Here is a video going over each address in my list. There is also an example of how a newer player might react to a hacker, and some matchmaking information that was new to me at the end.
Please share your cheats here. Help with verifying cheats working on more than one PC. Cheat Engine discussion

Wow! It was difficult for me to understand the text because of my limited knowledge of modding, but the video has blown me away! So many possibilities! I really enjoyed your thoroughful explanation, especially what locking does, and of axis warping. The movespeed and push axis is looking funny and cool I wonder how movespeed affects dsfpj! i guess i should mod my game and discover it xD At the 4:16 of your video i was surprised to see you in the SW corner without crashing! PogChamp Also this moment as well as this moment made me genuinely laugh (´∀`) Horray to skipping HL's! Yeaah! and thank you for testing it with a companion, its amazing to know that the connection is still there! It was amazing to see the chirp speed again. I really missed seeing that mod, and its amazing to know that now i myself can have a little chirp friend \o/ The matchmaking data was crazy! It's fun that we can know person's ID right away, but not fun about the lobbies and never connecting because of this. Was the only version of the game without lobbies - ps3? interesting stuff! Thank you so much for the videos and the article, for the tremendous amount of interesting info! also when you can, please add pc category to speedrun.com on another note, i disagree with your treatment of the streamer first run. it just made me upset that a person who could have experienced the beauty of the game and the fun of companionship was instead subjected to some game breaking experiments. he seemed to have all rights to be displeased

alexdolly hey alex happy to share and I hope it all works. I think you will like turning fog off and turning movespeed up. You can fly all over the level from up high and see amazing views aravshetikolava this was the end of the Journey with this white robe. Maybe if you saw everything it'd make more sense why both of us were displeased with each other, but basically up until then I used pretty tame cheats, not just spamming chirps like a jerk, and it made them very offended. Speeding up time and walking fast through the snow made them especially upset. I became annoyed as well when they would leave me behind after getting hit by a wm and similar journey communication, and the game breaking stuff in Paradise got out of hand ^^; sorry. I was able to make them laugh a couple times, but most of the time they hated me lol. Regular casual players are definitely not the players you want to do this stuff with. I have tried with two streamers to see what a new player thinks, and one other person really enjoyed it. It's a tricky issue that I wanted to explore. I had a Journey with zenmusic a long time ago with hacks. As a journey glitch addict they were easily able to recognize what was happening and enjoyed the silly things we could do and then wanted to get into modding. Thanks for your input I think your reaction makes perfect sense. I had a typo in the video when I show X Y Z. 0, 0, 0 is Southeast corner. Will edit the video and reupload. But yes, southwest doesn't crash my game ^^ I think all versions have lobbies but ps4 and PC don't try to find you new lobbies with people in them? It just keeps you in the same lobby forever. Maybe we can edit how long it takes for the game to put you into a new lobby I will add PC to speedrun.com if you add PC to Journey subforum description

Oh it was a white robe! i am blind, lol. The positive aspect of sniping is that we can see the reaction of a companion right away, which makes it possible to disconnect when they are annoying or are annoyed. So i think as an example of what not to do this video works well, i just hope people will learn from this example and no one will consider griefing as a way to have fun in journey, as it was the one relatively safe space. I remember your journey with zenmusic, you two really did have a blast i have fond memories of that meeting About lobbies, maybe we can experiment more? Could it be possible to make a program that can actively change your lobbies till you find a companion? If devs can't do good connection, maybe the community can, lol Or maybe we can write a message to annapurna? They seem to not only read complaints, but even reply to them. Do you think it makes sense to ask them for more dynamic lobbies? I added the PC to the forum description! Now it's tome for your move! >:D

Ok ive got speedrun.com updated as well.
After finding my lobby, I searched memory for the lobby to maybe find more controls with joining or refreshing. While watching the feed I noticed that the lobby is refreshing, but it decides to stay the same. I'm not sure if increasing the lobby refresh rate would be a good fix. It's not finding other lobbies when it refreshes. No luck there yet.
I also searched for join and leave radius, which is listed in Data > Scripts > Vars.lua. It's pretty cool to see the values for these, and then change the Z location of the character in game by that amount to see exactly how far it really is. It pretty much matches up with the idea I had in my head. It's so fascinating when you see the Hulls or other things clearly and realize the community found so many things just by feeling the game.
For Leave Radius, I am hoping to find a value that gets higher when I reset camera in UG or enter Paradise. I think it will be very useful for two players using the movement hacks. It's so easy to go beyond the 100.000 default distance if you're teleporting around

I replaced the Journey.CT in original post with two new cheats. I found embroidery, so whenever you want you can choose a number 0 - 6 for your current embroidery style. 0 - first run, 6 - 4th run white. I also located the function that makes you frozen. As long as you disable it from the Advanced Options window (bottom-left of CE) before entering a cube that makes you frosty (if you want a visual aid for these invisible cubes that make you frozen, download alex's Journish), you won't ever get frozen. The function to thaw you is still running by default, so if you ever do enable freezing and get frosty, go thaw and disable it before entering the cold again. movespeed's default value of 1 in most levels goes down to .85 in snow. You could also change that back to 1 or 1.2 to fly around at normal speed.
If anyone does try these and finds any of them not working let me know here.

Journey.CT (1.38) Added two cheats to the code list in Advanced Options. One turns off the slide mechanics as long as the code is disabled before you enter a slide cube. It basically freezes the 'sliding activated' address. It you have it disabled when walking/flying is normal it will stay that way. If you disable it while you're sliding, you'll still be sliding when you exit the cube. It doesn't disable all sliding, just the forced kind like in SC, UG final slide, paradise slide. The other code that I just called 'paralyze' does disable sliding, and lot of other things too ^^ Some examples.. It's kind of fun... not sure I will use it a lot. Lot's of weird stuff to see depending on when you turn off everything. When you enable it again the game will do its best to continue where it left off. Disabling all slide mechanics specifically anywhere in the game is pretty sweet though ^^ I'm really glad I can just turn them on and off instead of editing the hulls.

Journey.CT (1.38) I tried to use the windwall disabling aspect of the Paralyze cheat to find just windwalls only. I wanted to turn them off without disabling so many other things. I tried so many different methods but always ended up back at the Paralyze function. While scanning over and over to find windwalls I learned more about this thing and renamed it to Triggers on/off. It seems to manage every event in a level. I looked at "addresses this code writes to", and found a long list of bytes that were either 0 or 1. Here is a video going over what I've learned so far about these switches. Hope it helps if you're interested in trying too. This is so much fun. It doesn't take that much work and I am finding cutscenes and camera angles that aren't even in the normal game. The main downside is that none of the switches are in the same place if you change levels. You have to load the list of all the triggers each time you enter. It seems like a lot of character animations are here too. like how the character walks up to the ancestor during the HL, or the faceplant, or sitting, or backflipping. I would really like to learn more about the backfip and 360 spin so I can map them to L2 and R2 and do them whenever.

Experimenting with Triggers on/off and another code from the Advanced Options list called "windwall something" led me to find a way to explore the credits levels. It's a bit weird... the "windwall something" code affects flying and also seems to be more of an event manager that tells things to load. I could maybe find a way to get the same result of stopping the next level from loading without affecting flying, but I really just wanted to explore a bit so it was fine for now. Another thing that makes the flying weird is that the character is 25% of normal size during the credits since the levels are divided into four quadrants. There aren't any solid objects in the credits levels besides sand. 1. Start credits, decide what level you want to explore. There are 3 credits levels.
- Snow, Tower, UG
- SC, PD
- BB, CS
You will need to restart the credits to explore a different level. Any time during the credits in your level of choice, right click the code "windwall something" and choose "Replace with code that does nothing". Just make sure you do it before the level changes.2. At the end of the camera angles for that level, the game will return the camera to your character. You can restore "windwall something" with original code if you want. In order to control your character you need to right-click code "triggers on/off" to replace with code that does nothing so the block on controls is turned off.3. Restore with original code for those 2 & chapter select to get out of the level. Restart credits for a new level if you want. Here's some raw footage of me flying through all 3 credits levels kind of quickly just to see stuff.

To any lurking cheaters out there, not going to update the cheats for 1.47 as there is an awful bug with the camera. Will update for next patch after 1.47

Here are the Cheat Engine cheats for Epic Games Journey version 1.59 Journey.CTIn the bottom-left of cheat engine there's a button for "Advanced Options". This window has additional cheats like turning off fog in all levels, disabling sliding in sunken city and paradise slides, disabling freezing in snow, and turning off triggers. You can turn fog off and on any time. For turning off sliding and freezing, you need to disable them while your character is normal. If you turn them off while you are sliding or frozen, you will just stay that way until you enable it again and return to normal. I have two videos posted above that explains how to use the Triggers on/off edit: updated Advanced Options cheats with working cheat to explore credits levels. Works a bit differently than my post above. You need to disable the "disable this before the level you want to explore loads" sometime before the cutscene for that level ends. - To explore Snow, Tower, UG credits level you need to disable it after you walk into the light in Paradise
- For SC & PD, disable it at the end of UG in the credits when the light is flying into the gate
- For BB and CS disable it in PD credits when the light flies over the war machine

Hi folks! Since my first playthrough way back in 2013 I always thought that Journey is missing a photo mode. So here's my solution: a memory hack for Journey (works only on Steam release from 15.07.2020) Works on Cheat Engine 7.1 mega.nz/file/YqAHWIoa#sCE045cTNAkEIjknPHgMiaWxl2r6_Zsrxst8qBn2e8EIt focuses mostly on lighting settings, but also have some basic options like unlimited scarf or chirp bubbles modification. By using this you can modify almost all of the EnvNodeInstances parameters while in-game. This means custom sky colors, fog, specular, brightness, lighting direction and more. Given enough effort you can create truly breathtaking sights or completely crazy one: Gallery: imgur.com/a/Fe7wo49It's not the most intuitive tool to use, but as of today I wasn't able to make it simpler. I tried to explain everything in the readme file. Here's also a brief video tutorial (code replacement section can be quite convoluted I know...): www.youtube.com/watch?v=_Fjq8qJ9AWY&feature=youtu.bePlease, feel free to share, modify or improve this memory table. [Edit 1: Uploaded new version with some additional options] [Edit 2: New version for 9th anniversary of Journey. Thanks to Alazar88 now you can play with companion in CS and credits! Added a lot of new hotkeys that makes level swap and trigger manipulation easier for beginners. Refer to readme file for more info] [Edit 3: New version. Includes a few new codes] [Edit 4: New version (07.2023)]
