Hi all,
Well, I just bought the new PC version from Epic Games and I am already having a problem with game saves. Is this a continuing bug? If so, did I just waste my money? BTW, I have seen posts where others have complained about losing game saves on several other EPIC Game titles. And I did see this post as well:
Anyone else having this issue? If it is a real bug then I just wasted my money.

Update: wait, I launched it a 3rd time and my saved game progress returned. I now am back in the third area? Does this happen to anyone else?

sorry the late reply. as you said in your other thread, the forum is not very frequented, since the discord drags all our attention :(
what you experienced seems like you went "offline". since that patch, if you cut internet connection (which we did when wanting to not meet someone, for whatever reason) you will be a first run again.
depending on how the game was started, it will even crash when going to the second level.
the progress seems to be stored online. if you start the game from the folder, clicking the exe i think you ll be a first run too...
tldr: probably internet connection problem or started the game without the launcher.
